She improved her singing knowledge at the educator of the opera solo singing, prof. Alenka Dernač Bunta and she was educated by the eminent slovenian solo singer Darja Švajger. Today she has extra singing lessons at Nataša Nahtigal, the first singing teacher in Slovenia with a licence for teaching the Speech Level Singing technique.
Among other performances on the national television she has appeared twice on the slovenian contest for the eurovision song (EMA). What is more, she has performed many times with songs she had written by herself. She was also accompanied by the simfonical orchestre on various festivals and television shows. She has also sung with the famous gospel choir from New York (Harlem Gospel Choir), who had performed for Barrack Obama, the Pope and who had participated with U2, Elton John, Mary J. Blige and many other artists.
In this era of time she was also a guest in the international area, especially in the European Union (Berlin, Munchen, Milano, Stockholm, Vienna, Zagreb and Cairo).
During the visit of PopKomm in Berlin, she arranged with the TMC Records label (situated in Stockholm) and she has signed a contract which is just before the extension. The decision about the additional cooperation is going to be made this year.
Currently she is working hard to release the new album, who she has been preparing together with the producer Bojan Simončič, who is an amazing guitarist, multi- instrumentalist and the author of many outstanding creations home and abroad and Gašper Kačar, who is an outstanding academic pianist.
The music characteristics of Diona Dimm are her creative author approach and she is known for her sensitive, original and strong interpretation.
She appreciates artists such as Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles, Etta James, Chet Baker, Yolanda Adams, Shirley Bassey, Annie Lennox, Lisa Stansfield and Tina Turner, who she has been compared to for several times.
